Mission Beach

Mission Beach is a key highlight of the Golden Strand, nestled between South Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. As one of San Diego’s most sought-after beach destinations, it brings in large summer crowds who come to enjoy its oceanfront and adjacent Belmont Park. The area boasts permanent lifeguard stations patrolled by San Diego Lifeguards.

Stretching nearly two miles along the oceanfront, Mission Beach is bordered by the San Diego River estuary on the south, Mission Bay Park on the east, and Pacific Beach on the north. It is renowned for its scenic boardwalks along both sides of the community.

The main thoroughfare through this picturesque neighborhood is Mission Boulevard. Split into South Mission and North Mission, at its southern end lies a jetty that extends into the ocean with grassy areas and parking facilities.
